Tickets & Entry

All ages welcome. Valid ticket required for everyone (including kids 5yrs and up). Bring a printed ticket or downloaded PDF with QR code - there is no reliable cell signal or Wi-Fi in Chicken.

  • Photo ID required for all adults 18+.

  • Under 21 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult 21+ who is a parent, legal guardian or spouse.

  • Wristband required for all patrons 6yrs+. 21+ Wristband required to purchase, possess or consume alcohol.

  • No alcohol through (in or out) Festival gates.

  • Small handbags, backpacks, fanny packs permitted through gates. Coolers and bags larger than 18”x13”x8.5” not permitted through gates.

  • All patrons subject to search. No re-entry allowed without Festival wristband.

  • Bicycles allowed on grounds but not inside festival gates or blocking gate entry area.


Festival Rules

We are Strictly Family-friendly and we take this environment very seriously. Our Festival rules apply to all Festival grounds including the camping area. Disruptive or unsafe behavior can result in removal from grounds.

  • You must be age 21 or older to consume alcohol.

  • No excessive public intoxication PERIOD.

  • No illegal drugs, firearms or fireworks.

  • Smoking permitted but please be mindful of close neighbors; butts must be disposed of properly.

  • Marijuana may not be consumed publicly on grounds, please keep this discrete to respect the family atmosphere.

  • Wheeled wagons/carts, strollers and ADA mobility equipment permitted.

  • Motorized Personal Vehicles not permitted on grounds including ATV’s, electric scooters, hoverboards, segways, etc.

  • No campfires anywhere on festival grounds, parking, or camping areas.

  • Low back lawn chairs permitted; reclining/shade canopy chairs prohibited.

  • No weather tents, umbrellas or shade canopies permitted in festival gates.

  • Bathrooms: Use pit toilets and porta-potties - not the bushes.

  • No Cargo/ATV trailers in festival grounds.

  • No Solicitation or selling on grounds without a permit.

  • No Trespassing on dredge or other onsite structures, relics and equipment.

  • No bathing, shampooing hair, or washing dishes at our water faucets, sinks or creeks

  • Dogs must be on leash and under control at all times. Cleanup responsibility is yours while in Chicken. Pets larger than a goat not permitted.

    * In the event of a medical emergency, please go to the medical tent or find a festival staff member with a radio.


Code of Conduct

Chickenstock Music Festival is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and family-friendly experience for all guests.

THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EJECTION:

  • Anyone under the age of 21 found in possession of alcohol or under the influence of alcohol. No refund will be issued.

  • Anyone providing alcohol or 21+ wristbands to minors, or in any way contributing to the intoxication of a minor. No refund will be issued.

  • Use of profanity or offensive language, whether spoken or displayed on apparel or memorabilia.

  • Intoxication and/or visible impairment related to excessive alcohol consumption.

  • Bringing prohibited items onto festival grounds, including venue and/or camping areas.

  • Throwing objects or liquids of any kind.

  • Taunting, abusive, or disruptive behavior, including obscene or offensive language, gestures, imagery, or symbolism.

  • Entering the stage or accessing restricted or seated areas at any time without proper credentials.

  • Public nudity or indecent behavior, including urinating anywhere other than designated restroom facilities.

  • Engaging in sexual behavior in public areas.

  • Possession, use, or sale of illegal drugs.

  • Fighting or threatening behavior that may harm, endanger, intimidate, or cause discomfort to others.

  • Damage, destruction, vandalism, or theft of any property.

  • Violation of any local, state, or federal laws.

ENFORCEMENT NOTICE - Anyone engaging in the behaviors listed above may be immediately removed from the festival grounds, have their festival wristband revoked, and have their vehicle ejected from the property. Offenders may also be subject to arrest. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances if ejected.


FAQ's

Infrastructure & What to Expect:

  • The event is held in remote Chicken, Alaska there is no cell signal, Wi-Fi, water, power, trash service or grocery stores in town.

  • Satellite Wi-Fi/communication may be available, but is not guaranteed.

  • Bring all-weather gear including sunscreen and be prepared to be self-sufficient - there are no convenience stores in Chicken.

Cash & Payments:

  • There are no banks and ATM reliability is limited - bring cash and cards.

  • Canadian currency often not accepted in town and won’t be at the festival.


Camping Onsite

Festival Camping (on Chickenstock Grounds):

  • Only available to festival ticket holders with a valid ticket.

  • Friday & Saturday camping is free with a ticket.

  • Pre-Pay festival camping available for Wednesday and Thursday of Festival week through Extras link following ticket purchase. Pre-purchase required.

  • If festival camping sells out, contact staff on arrival or camp at nearby suggestions below.

  • First-come, first-serve, space as available. No assigned campsite.

  • If you want to camp with friends, then you need to arrive at the same time. Staff will do their best.

  • If you pre-pay for camping and you don’t show up on your selected arrival day, your space will be given up.

Festival Camping Area Specific Rules (on Chickenstock Grounds):

  • Maximum bumper-to-bumper length is 60' feet

  • No hookups (water/electric/etc.) - camping is gravel/dry. No water filling or sewage dumps available.

  • Camping area opens Wednesday at noon and closes Sunday at noon.

  • Tow vehicles & trailers (cargo/ATV): Must be parked offsite before arriving to camp (see Day Parking & Trailer Parking options below).

  • ATVs not allowed in festival camping; can be parked at the post office or other two businesses with their approval.

  • Dogs allowed and must be leashed and not left tethered at campsite.

  • No campfires in festival camping areas. Fully contained Solo-style fire-pits are ok if operated responsibly; No Coals left-behind; fire remnants must be taken with you.

  • Noise: No amplified sounds and no generators outside specified hours.

  • Generator Hours in camping area are 9am through 10pm due to tight camping quarters Chickenstock reserves the right to request discontinued use of obnoxiously loud generators.

  • No pressurized tanks (except certified propane ≤30 lbs).

  • No trash/water service on site: Bring your own water and pack out all trash.


Day Parking & Trailers

Day Parking (for guests staying outside of Chicken)

No day parking available on Festival grounds. If you’re staying at a DOT pullout or a BLM campground, these are the closest day-parking areas for vehicles/ATVs:

  • Mosquito Fork Wayside – MP 64

  • Chicken Post Office (¼ mile away) – MP 66

  • Other two businesses in Chicken (inquire directly) - MP 66

  • South Fork Dredge Trailhead (across from BLM Field Station)– MP 68

Trailer Drop Areas (Cargo & ATV Trailers)

Please drop ATV or cargo trailers at one of the following overnight parking locations before arriving to camp on festival grounds:

  • Chicken Ridge Trailhead Parking & ATV Ramp – MP 65

  • South Fork Wayside & Trailer Parking – MP 75

There is no on-site lodging on the festival grounds. Nearby options within easy walking distance include:

Camping a Short Drive Away

There are two BLM campgrounds located within 20 miles of the festival.
Day parking is available at the nearby locations mentioned above.
